Building Bridges with our Sikh Neighbours

The purpose of this seminar is to help Christians understand Sikhs better. Sikhism comes from a totally different philosophical tradition from Christianity and because of that, there's a lot of background information that needs to be covered if we want to truly understand our Sikh neighbours better. This presentation should take about two hours, and I am happy to stay afterward for Q&A for as long as there is interest.

Part 1: Brief overview of key ideas in Eastern philosophies which are central to Sikhism (i.e., Karma, Maya, Moksha, etc.). We will then discuss the history of the formation of Sikhism and the connection with modern day independence movements both in Canada and in Punjab
